R. Michael Malcom Partner VCARD

Mike Malcom has more than thirty (30) years of experience in all aspects of litigation. Mike’s primary focus of practice is in the areas of personal injury, car or truck accidents, wrongful death, brain injuries, medical malpractice/negligence, products liability, premises accidents and general litigation. Mike has extensive trial experience as well as a background in assisting clients with resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Atkinson Ferguson, Mike previously served as partner with, Preston & Malcom, P.C., where he aggressively represented the interests of his clients within Georgia and in other jurisdictions. Prior to that, Mike was a partner of the Atlanta law firm of Mabry & McClelland, LLP, where he focused his practice on the representation of insurers and their insured’s as well as self-insured corporations, in the defense of liability claims. Mike’s diverse background in representing insurance companies, insured’s’ and injured parties, provides him with the unique ability to apply his experience in practicing on both sides of the aisle in effectively representing his clients.

Mike is a native of Monroe with strong ties to the Walton County community.  Mike and his wife, Meredith live in Monroe, and are active in many local organizations. Mike is a member of First Baptist Monroe where he has served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher and on the Board of Trustees of George Walton Academy. Mike enjoys spending time with his two daughters and playing golf in his leisure time.
